12-year-old boy reported missing in Syracuse; family seeks public’s help

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 12-year-old Syracuse boy has been missing for five days and the family is reaching out to the public to try to find him.

The family posted to social media and talked to Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard about their missing loved one.

The boy, Kamarion Patterson, was last seen on Feb. 15, said Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson. How he went missing is under investigation, he said.

Kamarion is about 5 feet 5 inches and 140 pounds, Malinowski said. He was last seen wearing a black and blue shirt, with blue khakis and red, white and black Jordans, he said.

Patterson was last spotted at his home at 407 Rich St., Malinowski said.

Patterson’s father, Adrian Patterson, explained to Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard that the last place his son was seen was at Southside Academy Charter School at 2200 Onondaga Creek Blvd.

He said his son was recently suspended from the school. Patterson said he was informed that his son returned back to school despite being suspended. He picked his son up and took him home, but he said his son went back to the school and hasn’t been seen since.

Police said an Amber Alert was not issued following Kamarion’s disappearance because there was no indication that there was a crime or abduction, Malinowski said.

Family and friends ask anyone with information about where Kamarion is or if anyone sees him to call (315) 278-5510 or to call 911.
