15-year-old boy shot in the foot in Syracuse, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 15-year-old boy was shot Sunday evening on Syracuse’s South Side, police said.

Officers responded around 7 p.m. to a call for a shooting in the 900 block of Ballantyne Road and found the teenager shot in the foot.

He was transported to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The department asks anyone with information about the shooting to call them at 315-442-5222.
