16-year-old boy shot in arm; he’s expected to survive, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm Sunday, police said.

Syracuse police spokesman Lt. Matthew Malinowski said the teen was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle at about 2:58 p.m. The boy is expected to survive, he said.

Police did not report where the shooting happened, saying it is under investigation.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 315-442-5222.
