Fulton, N.Y. — A house was badly damaged in Fulton Tuesday after a fire spread from the second floor of a multi-family home and into the attic, firefighters said.
Around 9:18 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on North Sixth Street, the Fulton Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen on the second floor of the two-story home, firefighters said. Firefighters had to call in additional fire departments twice as the fire spread to the roof, they said.
Utilizing Minneto Fire Departmentโs 75 foot aerial ladder, firefighters were able to get better access to the roof to fight the blaze.
The three families were provided a place to stay by the buildingโs owner, firefighters said.
Firefighters were on scene until midnight.
