5 Bills contracts void today. How much dead money will Buffalo have on books for 2024?

Five Buffalo Bills have contracts that void today.

The five players cannot sign anywhere until free agency begins in March, but different void dates are written into contracts. As of today, the following contracts will void for the Bills.

  • S Micah Hyde
  • DE Leonard Floyd
  • DT DaQuan Jones
  • DT Tim Settle
  • LB Tyler Matakevich

In addition to the contracts voiding, each playerโ€™s cap charges will convert to dead money. Jason Fitzgerald of Over The Cap shared a list of the dead money that will be on the books for teams in 2024.

For Buffalo, Leonard Floyd leaves behind the most dead money at $4,376,250. Safety Micah Hydeโ€™s dead money will be at $3,408,000. DaQuan Jones ($1,833,334), Tim Settle ($1,350,000) and Tyler Matakevich ($667,500) all have dead money under two million dollars.

The Ravens were able to avoid paying $1,668,000 in dead money by signing Nelson Agholor to an extension a few days ago.
