Another NYS Fair concert change: Disney show, country singer move to different stages

The New York State Fair is making another change to its Chevrolet Music Series schedule.

The NYS Fair announced that Sunday’s “Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza” has been moved to Suburban Park at 2 p.m. The kid-friendly show was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. at Chevy Court that same day.

Kids of all ages are invited to dress up in costume for “Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza,” described as an immersive, interactive concert experience. The show will feature music from popular Disney TV shows and characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Doc McStuffins, the Puppy Dog Pals, “Superkitties,” Bo from “Firebuds,” and others.

Sunday’s shuffle means that country singer Elvie Shane has been moved from Suburban Park that same day (Sept. 3) to 1 p.m. at Chevy Court. Shane, nominated for Best New Country Artist of the Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards, is known for heartfelt songs like “My Boy,” “Baptized” and “Forgotten Man.”

It’s the second major change to the NYS Fair’s two main stages this year. R&B singer Danielle Ponder canceled today’s performance at Chevy Court due to “unforeseen circumstances”; Rochester-based Fleetwood Mac tribute band The Seven Wonders will take Ponder’s slot at 1 p.m. at Chevy Court on Wednesday, Aug. 30.

All concerts are free with admission to the Fair, which is free for children under 12 and $6 for adults under 65.
