Central NY driver hit man who was later found dead in ditch the next day, deputies say

Onondaga, N.Y. — A man was charged Monday with hitting a man with a pickup truck and then driving off Thursday night in the town of Onondaga.

The man hit was found dead in a ditch the next afternoon.

Jeffery Cleeton, 55, of Camillus, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, said Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
