Central NY man dies when car and pickup collide

Vernon, N.Y. — A 27-year-old Madison County man was killed Monday morning when a car and pickup truck crashed in the town of Vernon in Oneida County, police said.

Dakota Little, 27, of Oneida, died in the crash, according to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Little was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla north on Route 365 when his vehicle crossed the double yellow center lines and struck the pickup truck, deputies said.

Robert Wilson, 32, of Oneida, was driving the pickup south on the road when the two vehicles collided, causing heavy front-end damage to both vehicles, deputies said.

Wilson suffered arm pain and was transported to Oneida Hospital, along with his 9-year-old passenger. The child had neck pain, deputies said.

Route 365 was temporarily closed from Prospect to East Second Street, but has now been reopened.
