A man from Oneida County pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to possessing thousands of files of child pornography, prosecutors said.
Henry C. Albrecht, Jr., 53, of Forestport, admitted to receiving child porn from at least May 2021 to February 2023, federal prosecutors from the Northern District of New York said in a news release.
He received images and videos through social media messaging apps, prosecutors said. He was also given a flash drive with images, they said.
Albrecht was found with more than 2,500 files of child porn on various devices the day of his arrest, prosecutors said.
He faces 5 to 20 years in prison for each count of possessing and receiving child porn at sentencing in November, according to prosecutors. He will be sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge David Hurd.
