The Chicago Bears are on the hunt for their first win of the season when they clash with the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 5 at FedExField in Maryland on October 5 (10/5/2023) at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Bears vs. Commanders on Thursday Night Football will air exclusively on Prime Video (free trial), except in those teams’ markets, where it will be simulcast on WFLD (FOX/32) Chicago and WTTG (FOX/5) Washington.

The Washington Bears are off to a difficult start, reaching a winless 0-4 after losing 31-28 to the Denver Broncos in Week 4 — a game in which Chicago blew a 21-point lead. That marks 14 straight losses under head coach Matt Eberflus, and talk of dissension in the locker room coming from players including Justin Fields.
The Commanders are 2-2 after their Week 4 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, 34-31, following their 37-3 route by the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. They will look to get back to winning ways against the down-on-their-luck Bears, who are one of just two winless teams in the league right now, including the Carolina Panthers.
