Chris Stapleton returned to the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview on Sunday night to officially kick off the venue’s 2023 concert season.
The Grammy-winning country star performed his biggest hits, including “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Nobody to Blame,” “Broken Halos” and “Millionaire,” for a crowd of more than 16,000 fans, according to a rep for the venue. Originally more than 17,000 tickets were sold but some people got refunds when they were unable to attend the rescheduled date; Stapleton was supposed to perform Thursday, but air quality concerns from Canadian wildfire smoke forced the show to be postponed three days.
