Clay gas station store robbed, deputies say

Clay, N.Y. — A gas station convenience store in the town of Clay was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, the Onondaga County Sheriffโ€™s Office said.

Sheriffโ€™s deputies responded around 7 p.m. to the robbery call at the Speedway store at 4803 West Taft Road, according to sheriffโ€™s office spokesperson Thomas Newton.

Newton said in a news release that a man wearing a tan hoodie displayed a handgun at an employee. He robbed the store of an โ€œundisclosedโ€ amount of cash and then left on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The sheriffโ€™s office asks anyone with information about the robbery to call them at 315-435-3081.
