Families of teens killed in deputy shooting file wrongful death claims against sheriff’s office

Syracuse, NY — The families of two Syracuse teens shot to death by a deputy three weeks ago filed notice Wednesday of their intent to sue the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

A local lawyer known for filing police brutality lawsuits sent the sheriff’s office five-page notices on behalf of each family Wednesday afternoon, a necessary precursor to a wrongful death lawsuit.
