Former SU men’s lacrosse player, coach makes coaching return to SUNY Cortland after 17 years

Former Syracuse men’s lacrosse player and coach Lelan Rogers was named the next coach of SUNY Cortland’s lacrosse program on Thursday.

Rogers, a member of the Orange team that reached the NCAA Final Four in 1987, returns to coach the Red Dragons after previously leading the team from 2001 to 2005. He replaces Steve Beville, who retired after 17 seasons.
