Friday’s concert at St. Joe’s Amp in Syracuse canceled due to wildfire smoke

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Falling in Reverse concert scheduled for Friday, June 30 at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater has been canceled due to hazardous air quality.

The concert will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to a post on Facebook from the venue.

Smoke from wildfires in Canada is expected to linger over Central New York for at least another day, creating hazardous conditions. The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued an air quality alert that extends into Friday.

It’s the second concert this month to be rescheduled due to poor air quality, as smoke from wildfires in Canada has blanketed much of the northeastern United States. Chris Stapleton’s near sellout show was postponed three days earlier in June.

Counting Crows and Dashboard Confessional are scheduled to perform at the Amp on Saturday, July 1. As of now, that show is still on.

The Falling in Reverse show includes guests Ice Nine Kills, Slaughter To Prevail, and Crown The Empire as part of the band’s “Popular MonsTour.”

Tickets for the original show will be honored for the new date in September. If fans would like a refund, they must request one by Wednesday, July 6 through their original point of purchase.
