Orchard Park, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills got things going early in Thursday night’s 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but things sputtered in the second half.
Josh Allen and the Bills offense scored multiple first-half touchdowns for the first time since their win in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. In the second half, the offense moved the ball at times but went three straight possessions ending in a punt. The offense’s inefficiency in the final 30 minutes kept the Buccaneers in the game.

He finished the Bills’ first touchdown drive with a 13-yard run where he dropped back and decided to scramble up the middle when he saw an opening in the defense.
Allen is at his best when he’s out of his head and reacting to what he sees. NFL Next Gen Stats tweeted a stat of Allen’s during the broadcast that showed him as the NFL’s top passer when scrambling to his right. He went 2-for-3 on those throws through three quarters for 39 yards and a touchdown.
