Geneva, N.Y. – Anthony Dattellas registered eight points to lead Hobart College to a 20-9 win over the Le Moyne College men’s lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon at Boswell Field at Urick Stadium.
Le Moyne scored the first goal of the game just under three minutes into the contest as redshirt junior attackman Ethan Loun (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) tallied his 10th goal of the season.

The Statesmen answered with three goals in just 84 seconds. Following a pushing penalty on the Dolphins with 10:55 left in the quarter, Dattellas netted his 13th goal of the season only 15 seconds later off a feed from Sam Ward. Chris Patterson followed 40 seconds later with his ninth goal of the year. He scored again 44 seconds later.
Graduate student midfielder Jack Grooms (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Hobart) got the Dolphins within one of his former teammates with his sixth goal of the season with 6:49 left in the period.
Hobart scored three times over the final 4:30 of the quarter to take a 6-2 lead after one quarter of play. Chad Bach started the run with his third goal of the season. Dattellas netted his second goal of the game with 1:17 to go off a dish from Bach. Ward completed the scoring with 15 ticks left after collecting a feed from Dattellas.
The Statesmen scored the first three goals of the second quarter to go up 9-2. Will Delano started the streak at the 11:44 mark by scoring off a feed from James Greene in an extra-man situation. David Peterkin followed 29 seconds later with his 10th goal of the season after taking a pass from Dattellas, which forced a Le Moyne timeout. Patterson scored his third goal of the game with 5:07 to cap the run.
