In “Where Is Wendy Williams?” for nearly two years, cameras followed Wendy Williams, the former television host and radio personality, as she navigated the next chapter of her life following the conclusion of her iconic talk show. The documentary offers an unfiltered portrayal of Wendy’s life after being placed under financial guardianship, revealing her vulnerabilities and the factors that have made her a subject of public fascination. Documenting Wendy’s struggles with mental and physical health issues, as well as her erratic behavior, the film provides a candid look at her journey. “Where is Wendy Williams?” chronicles Wendy’s efforts to revive her career and explores the complexities surrounding her well-being. However, many questions remain unanswered, including who has Wendy’s best interests in mind and whether she has fully recovered.
Williams’ talk show ended in 2022 after an extended absence due to unspecified health issues and she entered a wellness facility later that year. Sherri Shepherd took over her time slot with a similar talk show, “Sherri.”
According to Thursday’s statement, Williams’ diagnosis has “already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life.” Her team said she is getting medical care she needs and she is still able to do many things herself.
