Oswego, N.Y. — Lisa Waldron accepted a plea deal Monday morning in Oswego County Court in the death of her 17-year-old son Jordan Brooks.
Waldron pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault in the May 2021 death of Jordan, according to Judge Armen J. Nazarian’s office.
Jordan, who had cerebral palsy and used a wheelchair, died on May 9, 2021 from sepsis and malnutrition, authorities have said. He weighed only 55 pounds – the average weight of a boy half his age.
Investigations have revealed the boy had many open, bleeding sores. His tailbone was exposed and his hip implant was visible through his skin, according to a state report.
Lisa Waldron will be sentenced in Oswego County Court on Sept. 28, the judge’s office said.
