A “Lockerbie” series is coming to Netflix, revisiting the 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 bombing that killed 35 Syracuse University students.
Deadline reports “Suits” actor Patrick J. Adams will star in the six-part limited series about the terrorist attack and the Scotland-U.S. investigation to find the perpetrators. The cast will also include Connor Swindells (”Sex Education”) and Emmy winner Merritt Wever (”New GirlNew Girl”), plus Peter Mullan, Tony Curran, Phyllis Logan, Eddie Marsan, Lauren Lyle, Andrew Rothney, Parker Sawyers, James Harkness, Khalid Laith, and Amanda Drew.
The TV show is expected to focus on the investigation into the crash, the effect it had on the small town of Lockerbie, Scotland, and the families who lost loved ones. The drama will also include more recent news, like the U.S. indictment of suspected Libyan bomb maker Abu Agela Masud Kheir Al-Marimi in 2022.
Filming has already started in Scotland and will continue in Malta and Toronto. The TV show is expected to air on NBC One and BBC iPlayer, followed by Netflix in the UK and globally.

Colin Firth and Sky Catherine McCormack will star in the rival series, which will air on Sky in the U.K. and stream on Peacock in the U.S.
It’s unclear if any Syracuse University students or alumni will be depicted in the two series.
