Michael Obernesser was crowned champion of the 2024 Post-Standard Masters bowling tournament on Sunday at AMF Strike ‘N Spare in Syracuse.
Obernesser defeated Dave Jecko in consecutive matches to claim the title, 644-637 in the first game and 722-702 in the decisive game.
Obernesser bowled eight-straight strikes to erase a 74-pin deficit in the final game.
He knocked out two previous champions on his way to victory, coming out of the once-defeated bracket by knocking out Derek Magno, 630-611.
Obernesser won $2,600 in prize, while Jecko took home $1,400 as runner-up and Derek Magno earned $950 for finishing third.
