New ‘Batman’ movie confirmed
It’s official: A new “Batman” movie is on the way. Variety reports “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti is now confirmed to helm “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” one of the first projects under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s “Gods and Monsters” reboot of the DC Universe. The film will center on Batman and Robin — the Damian Wayne version of the Boy Wonder — but a cast and plot have not been announced. Both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck appear as Bruce Wayne in “The Flash,” but this will also be separate from Robert Pattinson’s upcoming “The Batman” sequel. Other upcoming DC projects include a new Man of Steel in “Superman: Legacy,” “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” and “Swamp Thing.”
