Brew the coffee or crack open a Red Bull on Thursday evening, Bills Mafia. You’re in for a long wait.
The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off later tonight from Kansas City. In the first round of the draft, the Buffalo Bills hold the No. 27 pick. Based on the past three drafts, Buffalo will not make their selection until after 11 p.m.
WGR-550′s Sal Capaccio recently shared the time that the No. 27 pick was made the past three years. The good news for Bills fans? Last year’s pick came almost thirty minutes earlier than it had been in 2020 and 2021.
Of course, it’s no guarantee that the Bills stay at that spot as general manager Brandon Beane has said that he’s open to trade up or trade down on night one of the draft.
“If I was in Vegas right now putting money down, I would say if we were going to do anything, it’d be more likely to go back than go up,” Beane said. “But listen, you’re talking to a guy who gets antsy at times and goes up and gets guys so Vegas probably would still go against what I just suggested would happen.”
