Over 1,000 people in Onondaga County without power after storm passes through

Syracuse, N.Y. — Over 1,000 people in Onondaga County are without power Friday after storms rolled through the area.

A total of 1,158 people who use National Grid are without power, according to the National Grid outage map. These are the areas impacted:

  • DeWitt: 270 customers
  • Fayetteville: 271
  • Manlius, town: 512
  • Manlius, village: 128

Power is expected to be restored by 5:15 p.m..

Thunderstorms rolled through the county around 1 p.m. and a flood advisory was issued for the county.

A utility pole fire was reported on Highbridge Road at 2:04 p.m., according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.
