Netflix recently released a new feature documentary series, “Quarterback,” featuring multiple NFL QBs, including Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota, and Patrick Mahomes. The documentary goes behind the scenes showing the viewers exactly what goes on off the field for these quarterbacks.
On a recent episode, the show went behind the scenes with Mahomes and the Chiefs’ most recent playoff and Super Bowl run. That’s where the Buffalo Bills popped up in conversation.
After the Chiefs divisional round win against the Jaguars, Mahomes and company were awaiting the winner of the Bills vs. the Cincinnati Bengals divisional round clash.
“I think the Bengals are better, but I think with all those injuries on the o-line that the Bills have a chance,” he said.
Mahomes was asked who he would rather play between teams in the AFC Championship game.
“I mean, I think we match up better versus the Bills, but I want to play the Bengals. I mean, I just want to play them, we haven’t beaten them, and I’m tired of their talking.”
Mahomes got his wish. The Bengals defeated the Bills in Buffalo in a snowy and sloppy game.
The Chiefs then won the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium, defeating the Bengals and earning a trip to the Super Bowl.
In five career games against Mahomes, the Bills are 2-3, including the two playoff losses in the AFC Championship and divisional round.
The Bills will have another crack at the Chiefs in Arrowhead during Week 14 of the upcoming regular season this December.
