Person riding moped reported unconscious after being hit by car in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — A person was reported unconscious Saturday night after being hit by a car, according to 911 dispatches.

The person was riding a moped around 10:12 p.m. at Grant Boulevard and Pond Street when the car crash happened, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.

An arriving police officer told dispatchers the rider was not conscious and was breathing slightly. He asked for the ambulance crew to make their best time to the scene.

Police taped off the intersection as they investigated.

A white and blue moped was laying on the street. Shoes and boxes were scattered around it.
