Protesters in Syracuse call for sheriff to resign after deputy shoots teens in stolen car

Syracuse, N.Y. — Protesters on Wednesday in Syracuse called for Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley to resign and for the firing of a deputy who fatally shot two teens in a stolen car.

About 20 demonstrators lined up in front of the sheriff’s office headquarters on South State Street, holding signs that said “Let children live” and “Stop killing our kids.”
