Stefon Diggs set the record straight on Up & Adams on whether he wants to remain with the Buffalo Bills. When asked by Adams if he wants to remain a member of the Bills, Diggs did not hesitate.
“Yeah, I mean I told (the media) interview after interview I wanted to retire a Bill,” Diggs told Adams.
While Diggs wants to remain with Buffalo, he also knows that it the NFL is a business.
“Also, that’s not predicated on me, you know what I’m saying? I gotta keep it in the forefront of my brain that business is business,” Diggs said in regards to his future with the Bills. “I like to proceed as such, no matter what.”
While the NFL is a business, Diggs is not likely to go anywhere based on the structure of his contract with the Bills and the fact that Buffalo still views Diggs as a number one receiver. Barring any surprises, Diggs is likely to suit up for the Bills in 2024.
Adams would go on to ask Diggs about his relationship with Josh Allen. The relationship remains strong with Diggs referring to Buffalo’s quarterback as his brother.
“That’s still family,” Diggs said. “At the end of the day, people kind of form their own opinion in regards to football. Josh extended his hand out to me when I got (traded) to the Bills. He opened me with open arms, open hands,” Diggs said. “That’s still my brother, I kind of get sentimental about it because he’’s still family at the end of the day. He’s always going to be family no matter how it shakes out.”
Diggs set the record straight that he’s happy to remain in Buffalo with Allen, but he kept all options on the table saying that he is ready for whatever comes. The receiver told Adams that while he doesn’t want to say goodbye to Buffalo he is curious where all of the trade rumors are coming from in the national media.
