Syracuse basketball vs. Chaminade in Maui Invitational: Live score, updates

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse men’s basketball team takes on Division II Chaminade at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday at SimpliFi Arena in Honolulu.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Pregame

After back-to-back losses, the Orange will look to bounce back against Division II Chaminade in the seventh-place game of the 2023 Maui Invitational.

Syracuse has struggled in the paint in its games in Hawaii.

The Orange have been out-rebounded 96-61 through its first two games against No. 7 Tennesse and No. 11 Gonzaga. On Tuesday, the Orange also allowed 25 second-chance points and 44 points in the paint against Gonzaga.

With Chaminade, the paint should be no issue. The tallest player on the Silversmiths’ roster is 6′9 which should allow for the Orange to experience better success down low.

The Silversmiths enter the game coming off of losses to No. 1 Kansas and UCLA.

Chaminade and Syracuse have met just once before when the Orange defeated the Silversmiths 82-44 in 1998.
