Syracuse fire department ambulance collides with vehicle

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse Fire Department ambulance was badly damaged in a collision midday Friday.

The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Onondaga Street, Slocum Avenue and South Avenue, according to the Onondaga County 911 Center.

The ambulance was transporting a child at the time, dispatchers said.

It’s not known yet if people were injured in the crash.

The front end of the ambulance was damaged.
