Syracuse, N.Y. — A 29-year-old Syracuse man was arrested after stabbing a man several times Sunday morning on the city’s North Side, police said.
Sayvion Blount was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession and two drug-related charges, police said in a news release. He is accused of stabbing the victim during an attack in an area residence.
Syracuse police officers responded around 10 a.m. to the 1000 block of Butternut Street and found a 24-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times, police said. The man, whose name was not released by the police, was transported to Upstate University Hospital and expected to survive.
