Syracuse man sentenced to 28 years to life for killing man in front of children

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man was sentenced Monday to 28 years to life in prison for fatally shooting a man in front of children in 2020.

Mysean Griswold, 23, previously pleaded guilty to fatally shooting Tyree Lawson, 30, on Oakwood Avenue on Sept. 19, 2020. He also pleaded guilty to shooting a man in his car on the same block the day before.
