Syracuse police reported to be in standoff after shots fired on city’s North Side

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse police are on the scene of a report of gun shots and a person barricade in a home on the North Side.

Police were called to the 700 block of North Alvord Street after 8 p.m.. Monday, according to the Onondaga County 911 Center.
