Syracuse sets new high temperature, breaking 79-year-old record

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse has broken a 79-year-old high temperature record for April 9.

A new high of 78 degrees was recorded just before 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The previous record of 77 degrees was set in 1945.

The average high for today would be 43 degrees.
