Traffic alert: I-81 South into Syracuse backed up after two-car accident

Syracuse, N.Y. — Traffic is backed up Wednesday morning on Interstate 81 South coming into Syracuse.

An accident was reported on the highway near North Franklin Street, but no lane closures have been reported.

Two cars crashed but it appeared no one was injured. No ambulances were dispatched.

As of 8:15 a.m., traffic was stop and go for more than a mile from the exit for Destiny USA to downtown Syracuse.
