Update 7:30 p.m.: The left lane of Interstate 81 by Exit 20 to North Franklin Street has reopened, according to a state Department of Transportation alert. The right and center lanes remain closed.
Syracuse, N.Y. — All southbound lanes of a portion of Interstate 81 near downtown Syracuse are closed Friday evening for a car crash.
The crash was reported at Exit 20 to North Franklin Street around 6:54 p.m., according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
Syracuse police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the crash.
