Truck full of teens crashes in Cicero while trying to get away from officers, police say

Cicero, N.Y. — A truck full of teens crashed into a tree in Cicero while the driver tried to get away from officers, police said.

A 911 caller reported seeing the teens drinking at Riverfront Park in Brewerton Thursday night before the truck was spotted by police later in the night, said Cicero Police Chief Steve Rotunno.

The Dodge Ram 1500 drove off at a high speed and turned off its lights, Rotunno said. Police also turned off their lights and followed the truck from a distance, he said.
