The USA is undefeated so far in the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup, where they are also the host nation. They have trounced both opponents so far, including a 5-0 win over the Dominican Republic, and a 4-0 win over Argentina on Friday.
The Americans uncorked with three goals in the first 20 minutes of the game, all of which came in a short, 10-minute span. Jaedyn Shaw found the net twice to pace the USWNT at 10′ and 17′ followed by a third from Alex Morgan at 19′. Midfielder Lindsey Horan punctuated the win with a penalty goal at 77′ after a red card to Argentina’s Miriam Mayorga.
