Vanna White extends ‘Wheel of Fortune’ contract
It’s official: Vanna White will be back on “Wheel of Fortune” after extending her contract for two years, the game show announced Tuesday. Longtime host Pat Sajak will be retiring after the 2023-2024 season ends in the spring, with Ryan Seacrest tapped to replace him. The new contract agreement means White, who reportedly hadn’t received a pay raise in nearly 20 years, will continue as co-host through 2026. “This is such great news,” Seacrest said Wednesday. “Vanna has been such a staple on that show and in our living rooms for so many years. I’ve been very excited to work with her but now that it’s official I can say, ‘Congratulations, Vanna.’ I can’t wait.”
Robert De Niro ‘Taxi Driver’ return?
“You talkin’ to me?” Robert De Niro is reportedly returning to his “Taxi Driver” role as Travis Bickle for an upcoming Uber ad campaign. An unnamed source told The Sun that the 80-year-old actor is filming commercials for the rideshare company in London, in part to cover expensive costs from his relationships. De Niro reportedly must pay his second wife Grace Hightower $1 million a year after divorcing in 2018, and the Oscar winner’s attorney said the father-of-seven was forced to take on jobs to pay for it.
