Weedsport girls basketball advances to Section III Class C championship, will face Cooperstown

Syracuse, N.Y. — As the clock ticked down in the fourth quarter of the Section III Class C semifinal, Weedsport girls basketball’s Mallory Brown found herself with the ball just beyond the 3-point arc.

With 52 seconds left, the freshman guard released a shot from the right-hand side, putting the ball through the net to give the Warriors a late five-point lead.
