Fresh off a shut-out win to start the tournament, the United States Women’s National team squares off with the Netherlands in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup group stage at Sky Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand on Wednesday, July 26 (7/26/2023) at 9 p.m. ET.

Team USA opened with a commanding 3-0 win over Vietnam, quickly establishing themselves as the title contender fans expect them to be. Sophia Smith scored twice for the United States in the first half, including a controversial goal that was originally declared offsides, but overturned upon VAR review.
Now the United States will square off with the biggest threat in the group outside themselves — the Netherlands. The Dutch women beat another top European contender, Portugal, 1-0 to start the tournament. If one of these sides can pull off a win on Wednesday, it will likely cement their spot in the knockout phase.
