Ten different players scored a goal as the third-ranked William Smith lacrosse team cruised to a 16-2 victory over Nazareth in the Poole Family Sports Dome this evening. With their win this afternoon, the Herons are 9-0 in the Poole Family Dome since 2020.
Senior attacker Allie McGinty recorded a game-high six points on two goals and four assists. Senior Maddie Montgomery (3g, 1a) and sophomore Natalie Daniels (4g) also had four points in the game. Daniels also had five draw controls while McGinty had a team-high three groundballs. Sophomore Taryn Luzi led William Smith with two caused turnovers. Junior Maura Smeader played all 60 minutes in goal and made eight saves.
Two different players scored for Nazareth (0-1). Tori Henchen, who played the second half in goal had three ground balls. Makenna Misiurewicz had four draw controls. Henchen made seven saves in the second half and Allie Klestinec stopped nine shots in the first half.
