AJR forced to cancel CMAC, other shows due to father’s illness

Indie-pop band AJR is cancelling some of its upcoming performances due to a family illness. The band, composed of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met, were set to perform at the “Roc the Lake Festival” on July 7, at the Constellation Brands Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua.

However, the festival has been cancelled, as the Met brothers have decided to spend time with their ailing father.

The band issued a heartfelt statement explaining their situation and their father’s illness, expressing the emotional impact it’s had on their lives and their music.

The statement also reassures fans who bought tickets for the festival that refunds will be automatically processed. Those who purchased their tickets in-person with cash at the CMAC box office are advised to visit the box office for a refund. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, AJR still hopes to share their music, which has been heavily influenced by their experiences over the past year, with their fans in the future.
