Tompkins Community Bank announced that Amy Phelps has joined the company as a multi-site manager for its two branches in Syracuse, New York. In her new role, Phelps will be responsible for the growth of Tompkins’ Syracuse market alongside existing teams at City Center and Lyndon.
Prior to Tompkins, Phelps served as a branch manager for Key Bank. She holds certifications in small business and personal lending, loss prevention and asset protection, and business acumen training, as well as being a Notary Public. Previously, Phelps worked in specialty retail, managing multiple stores in various markets for over 20 years; her excellence in leadership for retail sales has been recognized by Limited Corp and Williams Sonoma Inc.
“Amy’s attention to detail and market-specific needs will undoubtedly be an asset to our teams in Syracuse,” said Barb Sroka, vice president. “As a community bank, we are constantly searching for ways to better serve our clients and the communities they work in. We are looking forward to seeing Amy promote new growth within Syracuse.”
Demonstrating a commitment to her community in and out of the office, Phelps is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Fayetteville/Manlius. Phelps currently resides in Cato, NY with her husband.
