Arcadia man faces assault, robbery charges after attacking ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and stealing his shoes

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Arcadia man following an investigation into an incident that happened in October.

Michael Gilpin, 26, was arrested for robbery and assault after an incident on October 20, where he’s accused of assaulting another man and stealing his shoes off his feet.

The argument reportedly started over the victim’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend.

Gilpin was taken into custody to await arraignment.
