The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Auburn man following an investigation at the county jail.
According to a news release, Diondrie Smith, 23, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of prison contraband.
These charges stem from an investigation into an incident while Smith was incarcerated at the Cayuga County Jail during which he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
He was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in Sennett Town Court.
