Auburn man convicted of stabbing at local bar

A local Auburn man has been convicted of a knife assault on a bar worker in 2022.

District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci of Cayuga County announced on Thursday that Gregory Jordan, 40, was found guilty of felony assault following an attack at Swiftyโ€™s Bar.

On May 29th last year, just before 2:30am, Jordan inflicted a stab wound over three inches long on the victimโ€™s neck. He was detained by the police within minutes of the incident.

Jordan now potentially faces a prison sentence of up to seven years, with an additional three years of post-release supervision once sentenced in July. The district attorney expressed her hope that the conviction and eventual sentencing would offer a sense of justice and closure to the victim and his family.
