If you plan on watching Saturday’s preseason opener between the Indianapolis Colts and the Buffalo Bills, you will not see quarterback Josh Allen or wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Head coach Sean McDermott spoke to reporters Thursday before the final training camp practice at St. John Fisher University and said, “most starters will play,” but Allen and Diggs won’t.
“They’ll play give or take a quarter just again, depending on who it is and in the situation in the game. Overall, we want to get them where they need to go but then take a good look at some of the young players,” McDermott said.
McDermott added that he expects Allen to play at some point this preseason but did not indicate when.
