Leonard Fournette’s time in Buffalo has ended.
The Bills released the 28-year-old running back from the practice squad, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters Tuesday. A corresponding move has not yet been made.
Fournette joined Buffalo’s practice squad on October 31, 2023, but was elevated to the active roster for just two games.
He played in Buffalo’s wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins. In those contests, he posted 12 carries for 40 yards and returned one kick for 17 yards on eight special teams snaps.
The Bills will move forward with James Cook, Ty Johnson, and Latavius Murray.
