The Buffalo Bills added depth to the defensive line on Saturday, signing Austin Johnson to a 1-year contract worth up to $4 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Johnson, 29, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2016 draft. He spent four seasons there, two with the New York Giants and two with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The 6-foot-4, 314-pound Johnson is a versatile run stuffer and is the perfect backup for DaQuan Jones at 1-tech.
Johnson has played in 116 games over his eight-year career, making 55 starts.
